We’re partnering with an innovative and international Water Technology scale-up at the forefront of sustainable water and resource recovery solutions. Known for their innovative systems in wastewater treatment, oil-water separation, and modular water purification for underserved communities, this company is growing its international impact – and now looking to strengthen their engineering team with a Mechanical Engineer focused on Structural & Piping design.

Key Responsibilities
As a Mechanical Engineer, you will:
- Design tanks, steel structures, and piping layouts based on process input from engineering colleagues
- Create 3D models and 2D drawings in Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD
- Contribute to rendering and immersive VR-based design environments
- Support the development of smart 3D models for manufacturing and assembly
- Produce engineering calculations and technical documentation (P&IDs, datasheets, etc.)
- Generate detailed fabrication and layout drawings
- Coordinate with internal and external manufacturing teams to ensure accurate production of mechanical components
- Contribute to technical evaluations of supplier quotations
- Support installation start-ups abroad (optional, for those open to travel)
Your Profile
You’re technically skilled, curious, and eager to take ownership in a hands-on environment. You bring:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Design, or a related discipline
- 3–10 years of relevant work experience in mechanical or process equipment design
- Proficiency in Inventor, AutoCAD (2D/3D), and ideally Plant 3D
- Familiarity with process documentation such as P&IDs and datasheets
- Interest or experience in sectors like water treatment, oil & gas, or sustainability engineering
- A structured, accurate work style with a willingness to learn new tools and methods
- The ability to commute to the office in the Alkmaar region
